2018 BAA City-Wide Track and Field Meet
For Girls and Boys Grade K-5
We will not be charging fees, but will be requesting a donation (suggested $3 per child, per meet).
We are pleased to announce the 9th annual BAA Track and Field Meets will once again be held in partnership with the Kennedy and Jefferson Track Teams. The dates for this year's event are as follows:
Meet at Kennedy: Wednesday, April 25th from 5:30-7:30 pm
Meet at Jefferson: Friday, May 18th from 5:30-7:30 pm
The attached flyer contains a lot of information but please feel free to e-mail with questions. We felt it did help the check in process last year to have some athletes pre-registered. This is not required and certainly not binding - but it would be appreciated if you think your child will be participating if you could send an email with first and last name, boy or girl, and grade. You can just pick up the bib number when you arrive. In addition, bib numbers are good for both events.
Thanks again to the high school teams that help us with the event, for all those athletes who have participated in the past, and for those parents you have volunteered for the event. We are hoping for good weather and record turnouts.
See everyone at the track.
BAA Track Committee
Volunteers: We will again have support of athletes from both the Kennedy and Jefferson track and field teams. They have been a tremendous help over the last few years. The meets also require parent volunteer support. Please let us know if you would like to help.
Bloomington Track Club: After a very successful first year, we will once form a Bloomington Track Club that will allow athletes a chance to get additional track experience beyond these two BAA meets. We will be holding 3-5 practices and entering (as a team) 2-3 track meets outside of Bloomington (likely USATF meets). There will be more information about this opportunity handed out at our meet.
Concession Stand: We will be running a small concession stand with water, Gatorade and a few snacks.
Questions: Please contact Paul Roach
or Betsy Longley
with any questions.
