Want To Become a Certified Referee?
There are two entry points into the referee program.  The Grade 9 program only requires attendance at a 1-day clinic.    A Grade 9 referee can only be a center referee in recreational (in-house) games and U9 or U10 games.  They can be assistant referees in any game U14 and below. Locate a Grade 9 clinic from our clinic list at http://minnesotasrc.org Click on the "Details/Register" link and enter the information requested. An email will be sent to the email provided giving additional information regarding the clinic.  This information includes a link to cancel the reservation if you are unable to attend. Attend the clinic at the date and time specified on the clinic list. Pass the Entry Level Test with a score of 75% or better. Fill out a registration form (provided at the clinic) and pay the registration fee and the clinic fee.  The registration fee for Grade 9s is $35 plus a $5 clinic fee for new referees.  The registration fee for Grade 8s is $40 plus a $5 clinic fee for new referees. Most clubs will also charge a $10.00 fee to cover room rental. Contact any club assignor to get games. Clinics are given mostly during the winter months
