The Bloomington Athletic Association offers several slow-pitch softball programs. We offer an in-house girls program for girls in ages 4 to 8th grade. For 9th-12th graders, we offer Co-Rec softball. We also have a slow-pitch traveling program for girls aged 10U-18U. See below table for a program description. Sign-ups are in March of each year with play beginning in May through the end of July.  Softball volunteers are needed as coaches, asst coaches, umpires and scorekeepers.

PROGRAM OVERVIEWS
 
 
MINI-MITES – Mini Mites is an instructional T-ball league, open to all girls from age 4 to Kindergarten.  All players on the team will bat and field every inning.  Coaches will work with the players so they can learn to hit, throw, run the bases and field properly.  No score is kept and no season ending tournament.  They will play games on Monday and Wednesday evenings, with no weekends.

MITES-Mites is an instructional league open to all girls in 1st grade through In-experienced 3rd graders.   The objective of this league is to teach the proper way to catch, throw, field and hit.  Mites league is coach pitch.  All players bat and 10 players play in the field at a time. Standings are recorded and a season end tournament is played.  Mites League plays Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
 
CUBS- Cub League is open to all girls, from Experienced 3rd to 5th grade.  Cubs league is Player pitch.  The purpose of this league is to teach the proper ways to catch, throw, field and hit, basic skill development.  Emphasis is on learning the game and not on winning.  Standings are recorded and a season end tournament is played. Cubs League plays Monday and Wednesday evenings.
 
BANTAMS-Bantams League is open to all girls in grades 6th through 8th.  Bantams league is player pitch.  This league will use the official rules of the A.S.A. unless there are specific rules outlined by B.A.A. pertaining to this level.  Standings are recorded and a season end tournament is played.  Bantam League plays Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
 
CO-REC-Co-Rec League is open to all young men and ladies in grades 9 through 12. This league will use the official rules of the A.S.A. unless there are specific rules outlined by B.A.A. pertaining to this level.  Teams play doubleheaders each night with a 65 minute time limit per game.  Standings are recorded and a season end tournament is played.  All games are played on Monday evenings at Valley View softball fields.
 
TRAVELING-Traveling League is open to all youth ages eighteen (18) and under.  This is a more challenging game of slow-pitch softball and is part of the River Valley League.  Fee includes umpires, uniform, team equipment and tournaments.
