* There may be an occasional game scheduled on a night other than the ones  listed-however there will be NO Wednesday night games.

 

BAA offers a fall Girl’s basketball league for girls in grades K through 12 and boys K-2. Sign-ups are held in early August. A typical season starts in Mid-October and ends in early December. A program overview is listed below the table. For this sport, volunteers are needed as coaches, asst coaches, scorekeepers, timekeepers and occasionally referees.  New This Year 2nd Grade Boy's can learn fundamentals in the Mini-mite program and/or Play with the Boy's program in early January with the 3rd grade boy's.

Fee for Mini-Mite K-2 Boys and Girls $85.00, 3rd-12th Grade Girls $112.00


Mini-Mites League is open to boys and girls grades Kindergarten (K) through Second (2). There are no games in Mini-Mites and there will NOT be a season ending tournament. There will be "Basket Coaches" and each evening the athletes will be focused on 70 minutes of drill instruction, basic skill development, and FUN competition focused on passing, dribbling, shooting, layups, etc. Our emphasis at this level is to get the Bloomington girls and boys ready to go to higher levels of 5 on 5 plays. Mini-mites take place over 10 sessions during the months of October & November.

Cub level is open to girls in grades three (3) and four (4). Each evening begins with a 25 minute practice followed by a game. The game has 8 segments of 4 minutes with running time the first 3 minutes and stop time the last minute. Equal rotation rule applies.

Midget Level is open to all girls in grades five (5) and six (6). Each evening begins with a 20 minute practice followed by a game. The game has 8 segments of 5 minutes with running time the first 4 minutes and stop time the last minute. Equal rotation rule applies.

Bantam Level is open to all girls in grades seven (7) and eight (8). Each evening begins with a 20 minute practice followed by a game. The game has 8 segments with 5 minute running time and stop time the last two minutes of each segment. At this level the girls play with BAC (Burnsville) league and LKVL(Lakeville North and South) games are played in Bloomington with one possible on a Saturday in BAC or Bloomington.


High School level is open to all girls in grades ninth (9) though 12 (twelfth). Each evening begins with a 20 minute practice followed by a game. The game has 8 segments with 5 minute running time and stop time the last two minutes of each segment. At this level the girls play with BAC (Burnsville) league.


All levels: Standings are recorded and a season ending tournament is played in early to mid December.

BAA offers a Second Season Girls Basketball from Jan-early March for a separate fee 3rd/4th and 5th/6th. Practice on Tuesday or Thursday with Games on Saturdays against BAC, LKVL and Apple Valley with a end of season tournament. All Cities Host games on Various Saturdays. Fee is $90.00.

7th/8th Grade practice on Thursday with MYAS tournaments on various Saturdays. Fee is $125.00
