BAA Spring Flag Football Program Overview
Welcome to the BAA Boys Spring Flag Football League – where the Bloomington Athletic Association delivers fun, affordable, and safe youth sports powered by passionate volunteers!
In flag football, young athletes master body mechanics and core plays without the weight of pads – unlocking a clearer view of the game and a deeper understanding from day one. Kids learn faster, fear less, and love more as they focus on strategy, awareness, and skill over gear. Starting here builds rock-solid fundamentals that make the leap to tackle football smoother, smarter, and stronger.
No pads. No fear. Just football – the right way to begin.
Registration opens January 1 and closes March 15.

Bantams Flag Football (7th & 8th Grade)
| Age Group | 7th & 8th grade at time of registration. |
| Experience | We are most likely going with a 7v7 touch football at this grade level. 7v7 is a fast-paced, non-contact version of American football with seven players per team on offense and defense. This may be a flag program if that is where we find more interest. |
| Game Fundamentals | 7v7 emphasizes passing, strategy, and skill over physical contact, with players being "down" when touched with one hand by a defender. The game focuses on developing the skills of quarterbacks, receivers, and defensive backs. |
