BAA Youth Sports Officials Requirements
BAA youth sports officials help create a safe, fair and positive experience for Bloomington athletes. Review the age requirements, required training and new-hire paperwork below.
Eligibility Requirements
BAA officials must be at least 14 years old and at least three years older than the players they are officiating.
Before officiating, all required training must be completed through Trusted Coaches using the current year’s BAA Officials registration link.

Required Training and Setup
All officials must complete the required account setup, screening and safety training before receiving game assignments.

- Complete a background check
- Complete concussion training
- Complete child safety training
